Civic Centre - Refurbishment

The Civic Centre is about to receive a make-over. In October and November 2006 we're going to make it:

  • friendlier
  • more comfortable and convenient to use
  • more open and accessible for everyone.

That means:

  • opening up the main reception and sign-posting it more clearly
  • putting in more comfortable seating and better signage at all other important reception points
  • putting up tactile signs to help visually impaired people
  • making a ground floor recruitment exhibition for job-seekers (featuring details on all council vacancies)
  • moving the catering counter to a new position.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this work may cause. But we're sure you'll agree it's worth it for a Civic Centre to be proud of.
