Excess recycling

Black recycling bin

You can place any excess recycling next to your black recycling bin on your recycling collection day, with what ever is inside being clearly visible in a clear bag.

Unfortunately we cannot take any recyclables presented in black bags.

Garden waste bin

Please ensure the lid of your green bin is closed, we cannot take additional garden waste. If you continue to produce extra garden waste you can buy a reduced price compost bin.

Food waste caddy

You can place any excess food waste recycling in a tied compostable bag, carrier bag or pedal bin liner next to your green food waste caddy on your normal collection day.

Unfortunately we cannot take any food waste recycling presented in black bags.

High rise flats recycling

Recycling is available for those residents living in high-rise flats. Residents should have communal red recycling bins to recycle their paper, cans and glass.

Recycling out and about

To help you recycle more we are making it easier to recycle both at home and when you are out.

We have now installed recycling bins throughout the city so that you can recycle when away from home.

They are located in the Bilston and Wednesfield shopping areas and in the City Centre.

Using these bins you can recycle plastic bottles, mixed paper, food and drinks cans and cardboard.
