Removal of fly tipping

Reports made to the Council of fly tipped material will be investigated by an Enforcement Officer.

Depending on what the fly tipped material contains will affect how soon it is removed. For example, asbestos or other hazardous waste will be removed as soon as possible - usually within about 24 hours. General waste will be removed within about five working days.

Once an investigation has been completed by an Enforcement Office, a decision will be made as to whether enough evidence is present to bring a prosecution.
