About street care and cleaning services

The council's street care and cleaning services are managed and provided by Street Scene Services.

What are we responsible for?

We are responsible for the cleansing and grounds maintenance operations on the footways, highways (including central reservations, islands and verges), public rights of way and public open spaces.

How do we work?

Street Scene has dedicated teams of street cleaners and horticulturists.

We also work with Wolverhampton's waste partner, Enterprise to provide an integrated environmental service.

Our aim is to deliver a clean and well maintained city environment that reflects the needs and aspirations of local people and businesses.

How do we monitor our performance?

We apply a street cleaning programme across the city which is rigorously monitored using national and local performance indicators.

The result of the 2007/8 assessment shows that on average 91% of our streets met or exceeded the required standard.

How do I get in touch?

Contact us if you have an enquiry or wish to make a report. We provide an emergency call out service - 24/7, 365 days a year.
