Recycling centres
Two large recycling centres at Anchor Lane, Lanesfield and Shaw Road, Bushbury are available for you to recycle a wide variety of waste types. Both of these sites have facilities for disabled people to recycle waste safely.
In addition, there are over 100 recycling facilities across the city where a selection of materials can be deposited.
In February 2008, when you visit your local Community Recycling site, you will notice a market improvement. All the recycling containers have been replaced with new vibrant red containers. You will still be able to recycle the same materials at the sites, but the signage will be vastly improved and the sites will look a lot more inviting.
These sites are the first of 50 'prime sites' to be refurbished by the Waste partnership. Wolverhampton City currently has over 100 Community Recycling sites, over half of which are extremely unproductive. The Partnership will be reducing the number of sites to a more managemable 50, and will be refurnishing all of them by summer 2008.
