Helping us with kerbside collections

So that we can provide the best quality kerbside collection service, follow the simple guidelines below when putting your bins or boxes out.

Get the right day

Residents should leave their bins at the edge of their property in a position that is clearly visible to the collection team, and not obstructing the footpath or highway.

If you aren't sure when your refuse collection day, contact City Direct (01902) 551155.

Be on time

Make sure your bin is outside your property by 7.00am on the day of your collection.

Avoid heavy items

Don't put heavy items in your bin as this may cause damage our refuse vehicles or injure an operative. If your bin is too heavy a card will be left explaining why it was not emptied.

Close the lid

Make sure the lid on your bin is closed. Any bin with the lid open will not be emptied.

Don't put out extra bags

Extra refuse such as bags left with your bin won't be taken.
