Affordable housing supplementary planning document
The City Council produced a draft Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for consultation in December 2005. The consultation period ended on 3 February 2006.
Following full consideration of the representations received during consultation, the Council's Cabinet approved recommended changes to the SPD and adopted the amended Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document on 6 September 2006.
The delay between consultation and adoption was due to the requirement for the Wolverhampton Unitary Development Plan (UDP) to be adopted prior to the adoption of the SPD.
The document provides detailed guidance on affordable housing requirements for new housing development in Wolverhampton, based on the housing policies in the adopted UDP (June 2006).
