Local Development Scheme (2008-2011)

In March 2008, the Council brought into effect a new Local Development Scheme (LDS) to cover the period up to February 2011.

The LDS sets out what local planning policy documents the Council intends to prepare as part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) and the timetable for their preparation.

The LDS timetable also tells you when you can get involved in shaping and commenting on emerging documents.

It is important that the LDS sets realistic and achievable targets for the preparation, examination, and adoption of local planning policy documents. The performance of the local authority in meeting the LDS targets will be monitored as part of an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR).
