Wolverhampton Partnership and Sustainability

The Wolverhampton Partnership is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Wolverhampton and has been accredited by Government.

It consists of a number of theme-based partnerships with discreet areas of interest, together with a core or Strategic Group - this is the Wolverhampton Strategic Board.

The Board provides an overview of ‘cross cutting’ themes, such as sustainability and equalities, and will “encourage / ensure their adoption within the work of the Partnership as a whole.”

The Partnership recognises its unique position and responsibility to enable sustainable development in Wolverhampton.

It formally embraces this principle in its General Protocols which state “The purpose of the Partnership is: to harness the energy, expertise, assets and resources of both partners and our communities towards the sustainable development of the City.”

To assist in this the Sustainability Unit has worked closely with the Partnership to develop a Sustainability Charter for the City
