Meet staff from the Environmental Services team at the Wolverhampton City Show this weekend (7 and 8 July).

You will have the opportunity give your views and to ask questions about their services.

Will - Principal Trading Standards Officer

Will's here to protect you from rogue traders and dodgy dealers.

If someone sells you shoddy goods or services- or cons you out of your money - Will's team helps you get a fair deal. In fact, many of the people they've worked with have recovered thousands of pounds !

Sue - Environmental Initiatives Officer

Sue stands for no messing.

She finds out who's responsible for nuisances like fly-tipping, litter, graffiti or dog mess. They're given fair warning...and if they don't mend their ways, they can be fined or even taken to court.

Colin - Taxi Driver

Though Colin doesn't work for the council, he's here for a very important reason.

He drives a hackney carriage, licensed by Environmental Services. Having this licence means he'll take you to your destination safely and for a fair price.

That's something both Colin and our Licensing Team can be proud of.

Chaz - Environmental Health Officer

Chaz makes sure that nothing nasty is lurking in the kitchen...

Her team is out daily, checking on restaurants, pubs, takeaways and food shops. Together they make sure that all these places meet tough national public hygiene and safety standards.
