Sometimes in dealing with pests you will decide to use a private contractor. This page gives useful guidance on hiring a pest control expert.

Hiring a private company

If you have tried all available options to remove the pests in your property but are still suffering you may wish to contact a private pest control company.

We would recommend that before hiring anyone to treat your property that you get at least three quotes, make sure you know whether the charge is fixed or by the hour and ask if their is a guarantee attached to the work.

Whilst we cannot recommend a particular company the following two Trade Organisations have a code of conduct which their members should adhere to when dealing with customers.

These organisations may be able to assist in finding contractors or helping should any disputes arise.
