The Dogs on Lead Wolverhampton Order 2007

It is an offence to fail to keep a dog on a lead on certain land within Northycote Farm and on land forming part of the following highways in the Wolverhampton City Council area (including footways, central reservations and verges):

  • A41 which includes Wergs Road, The Rock, Tettenhall Road, Chapel Ash
  • A4123 Birmingham New Road, Thompson Avenue, Birmingham Road, Dudley Road (between Birmingham Road and Ring Road).
  • Willenhall Road, Lower Horseley Fields, Horseley Fields
  • A4150 Ring Road.

Penalties

A person who is guilty of an offence under The Dogs on Lead Wolverhampton Order 2007 will be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £65. Failure to pay the notice would result in prosecution with a maximum fine of £1,000.

No offence shall be committed where a person has reasonable excuse for failing to comply with the order to a person is acting with the consent of the owner or occupier of the land, or any other authority which has control of the land.
