Appeals and reviews
If you wish to appeal against a decision not to approve transport for your child, you have the right of appeal.
All appeals should be made to us and sent in writing to the Team Leader, Pupil and Student Services using the address at the bottom of this page.
After re-consideration of your case our decision will then be final.
Special Education Transport and its appropriateness for the individual will need to be kept under constant review and parents should be aware that arrangements may change. For example, transport arrangements made for a child's first weeks in school may not be necessary after the pattern of attendance and the family routine have been established.
Any changes up to and including the withdrawal of provision will not normally occur until the start of the succeeding term, and are most likely to take effect at the start of the academic year.
It is recognised that transport needs may vary as a child develops so we will , review transport provision at regular intervals. Similarly, the type of transport and/or arrangements for independence training, in respect of travel, may be included in your child's individual education plan.
