Teacher working days total 195. Pupils are expected to attend school on 190 working days within these overall arrangements.
It is therefore possible under the above calendar for schools to arrange their in-service training days so as to avoid the need for pupils to be in school on 25 July 2011, which falls within the 'industrial fortnight' in the last full week of July.
