Modernisation

Modernisation funding is used to raise educational standards by contributing towards meeting the capital investment needs of school buildings, according to the locally agreed priorities identified in the Local Authority's (LA) Asset Management Plan (AMP).  It is allocated to LA’s using a formula that is partially targeted to building need, as well as pupil numbers.

This funding will also be used to supplement funding provided through the Primary Capital Programme (PCP).
