Accessibility Audits

All schools are required to plan to increase access to education by pupils with disabilities and to produce Accessibility Plans which demonstrate how this will be achieved over time in three key areas:

  • increased access to the curriculum
  • improvements to the physical environment
  • improvements in the provision of information

To assist schools with this process the Local Authority (LA)  has undertaken a physical audit of all school premises and works closely with the Primary Care Trust (P.C.T.).
