Events for Parents and Carers

Parent support groups and workshops

We organise a range of events to help parents and carers develop their knowledge of special educational needs and disability issues.  These events provide an opportunity for parents and carers to meet others with similar concerns and learn together how to support their child.

Read on for details of what we offer and see our Summer Programme of events for parents and carers for details of our current programme of events.

Parents/Carers Coffee Mornings

  • This group regularly meets for a friendly chat over a cup of tea or coffee, sharing views, concerns and tips.  A Parent Partnership Officer is always on hand for information and advice.  These coffee mornings are for parents and carers of children with any additional needs.

Free Parent information Events -

  • Every month, the PPS invites a guest speaker to talk to parents/carers on a topic relevant to sepcial educational needs and/or disability.  You can be sure of a friendly welcom.  Lunch and refreshments are provided.  To find out what's on this term view the back page of our newsletter or see the events page.
