Wolverhampton Parent Partnership Service

The Wolverhampton Parent Partnership Service (WPPS) provides information, advice and support for parents and carers of children with special educational needs.

The neutral and confidential service we offer can help parents and carers become more actively involved in discussions and decisions relating to their child's individual needs.  Through our support, parents and carers feel more able to work closely with their child's school and other professionals supporting their child's educational development, to ensure they reach their full potential.

The Parent Partnership Service also hosts the School Choice Advice Service.  This confidential service offers impartial information and advice to ANY parent or carer whose child is moving from Primary to Secondary school.  Click here to find out more.

Why may parents and carers need to contact the Parent Partnership Service?

We can help you if you have concerns about your child's education by providing neutral information and advice to help you work in partnership with your child's school and the Local Authority (LA) to ensure your child's individual needs are met.  Can we help you?

  • Do you have a child with special educational needs?
  • Do you have concerns about your child's progress at school?
  • Do you feel that nobody is listening to your concerns?
  • Is your child going through the statutory assessment process?
  • Does your child have a statement of special educational needs?
  • Do you need help to understand how schools and the LA support your child's individual learning needs?
  • Do you need information about special educational needs and/or disabilities?
  • Is your child at risk of exclusion or have they been excluded from school?

  • is sometimes sent home from school to 'cool off'
