Metro One

Metro One is a new initiative from City of Wolverhampton College and leading commercial partners which provides vocational training courses in a range of professions.

To help develop skills, students have the opportunity to study and learn within realistic working environments which are open to the public.

The range of services available to members of the public at competitive prices are listed below.

Academy Travel

The Travel Academy is run in conjunction with with independent travel agency West Midlands Co-Op Travel enabling them to offer a wide range of holidays at competitive prices.

The college trains students to NVQ Level 2 whilst they gain hands-on travel agency experience.

The service specialises in package holidays, low cost flights, UK breaks, cruises and tailor made holidays.

The academy also offers arrangement services for car parking, airport hotels, theatre trips, attraction tickets and car hire.

The travel academy manager and students are always on hand to assist customers with their holiday requirements.

Academy Restaurant

For superb quality and service at very reasonable prices

The academy restaurant is a culinary classroom that allows budding chefs the opportunity to learn their chosen trade.

The students coursework is actually ordered, eaten and evaluated by the customers. With its amazing meals, astonishing prices and attractive ambience the academy restaurant is the place to be and be seen.

Lunch

  • £5 per person
  • Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 2pm

Evening meal

  • £11 per person
  • Tuesday to Friday, 6.30pm to 9pm
  • Licensed bar available

Metro One, Hair Salon

Academy Hair Salon

In the college's state-of-the-art hair salon, students provide a fully professional hairdressing service. There is a comprehensive range of treatments available, all offered under the guidance of staff.

Using the best hair care products, students offer perming, colouring, styling and mens hairdressing.

The Academy Salon is run in conjunction with Francesco Group and Wella to provide and industry standard service.

The college's beauty and holistic salons are run by students under the expert supervision of fully trained staff.
