The City and Guilds 7407, Certificate in Further Education Teaching, is for people who want to teach, or people who are already teaching students over the age of 16. You must be qualified in the subject you are offering to teach, and you must be able to make your own arrangements for teaching practice.

The City and Guilds 7302, Introduction to Delivering Learning, is suitable for learners who work, or want to work, as part-time teachers in further and adult education. You must be qualified in your own subject area. This course is ideal for trainers in commerce, industry and the public sector.

The City and Guilds 9295, Certificate for Adult Learner Support, is a qualification for people who would like to work with learners as volunteers.

The NVQ for Teaching Assistants will help you to work alongside teachers, either in your job or as a volunteer, to provide support for learning activities. You must be able to arrange at least 60 hours of practical experience in the classroom.

The Advanced Certificate in School Governance is a highly regarded qualification for people serving as school governors.

The Introduction to, Development of and Application of Mentoring Skills are for learners who would like to become qualified mentors. You will gain a better understanding of the role of the mentor, and of the different stages of mentoring.

Mentor Co-ordinator training is for learners who would like to start, run and assess a mentoring scheme. You will gain an understanding of an effective mentoring programme
