Paying your council tax by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the Council's preferred method of payment and can be made through your bank or building society.

If you currently pay by any other method and wish to change to Direct Debit, you may use any of the following methods:

Phone

Contact the local taxes division to set up your Direct Debit over the telephone. Please make sure you have your bank account details ready.

In person

Visit the Civic Centre at:

Instruction

Download the Direct Debit instruction by clicking on the PDF icon below, completing it and then returning it to local taxes.

Online instruction

Complete the online form and a Direct Debit instruction will be posted to you.
