Registering a marriage
To register a marriage you must first make an appointment at the Register Office in the Civic Centre.
Opening times
The Register Office is located on the ground floor at the rear of the Civic Centre. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm by appointment, and Saturday from 10am to 1pm for marriage ceremonies.
Cost and payment
A standard certificate costs £3.50 at the time the marriage is registered. You can pay by cash, cheque, postal order and debit or credit card.
Cheques and postal orders should be payable to Wolverhampton City Council and must be in sterling, drawn on a bank with a UK branch.
When accepting payment by debit or credit card we need the full number and expiry date when you come to register (plus issue number for Switch cards).
