Ordering a memorial
In each of our seven cemeteries, a temporary marker will be placed on a grave until a permanent memorial is placed there or approximately 12 months following the date of a burial in a new grave (whichever is sooner).
This is to allow the owner of the Exclusive Right of Burial to the grave sufficient time to arrange for the placement of a more permanent marker.
The purchase and erection of a memorial in the form of a headstone or flatstone should be arranged by a memorial mason who must be authorised to work in our cemeteries.
A list of memorial masons can be requested using our online e-form (secure).
Other forms of memorial are available for loved ones following a cremation. A full list of options can be requested using our online e-form (secure).
