Reporting a race hate incident

If you are a victim of or witness to a racist incident it's important that you report it to someone. If the incident is particularly serious please report it to the police immediately on 0845 113 5000 or in an emergency dial 999.

If you do not wish to contact the police in the first instance, you can contact your nearest racist incident  reporting centre which will treat your incident in strict confidence (unless child protection issues are raised) with assurance that information provided will not be passed on to any organisation without consent of the complainant. Key staff at these centres have been trained by WRHP to deal with complaints and to signpost you to services you can access for support and additional advice.

You can report a racist incident online to the Police at: www.report-it.org.uk

If you report it to a reporting centre your information will be treated in confidence and will be used to provide a co-ordinated response/account to racial harassment/incidents in Wolverhampton.
