Wolverhampton - A Diverse City

In Wolverhampton just under a quarter of a million people from a variety of cultural, racial, ethnic, faith and religious backgrounds live in a geographical area no bigger than 26 square miles.

Over 22% of the local population are from visible minority groups. That means over 52,000 people from minority ethnic groups are contributing to the social, economic and cultural development of Wolverhampton.

Many languages

Over 60 languages are spoken across the City. Wolverhampton has an above average level of non-Christian religions (13.6% compared with 5.5% for England and Wales). Wolverhampton has the fourth largest Sikh community in England and Wales.
