Food standards

Food Standards relates to the quality, composition, and labelling of all food.  There is a vast amount of legislation that covers these matters and helps to ensure that consumers are fully informed about what they purchase.

Guidance leaflets for businesses on food standards legislation and other areas are also available on the Trading Standards Central website.

Contact details and further information

Please note, at Wolverhampton City Council the Trading Standards Service does not deal with matters concerning Food Standards.

If you have any queries or if you would like to make a complaint about a matter concerning food, please contact the Food and Environmental Safety Service.
