The Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Development (CHID)

The Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Development (CHID) is the innovation programme sponsored by the regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands and based within the Research & Development Directorate at New Cross Hospital.

As part of the region’s single project in supporting business across the West Midlands, the role of CHID is to produce a number of services to maximise the successful development of innovative ideas through a seamless service between innovation management and research trial activity.

For companies and innovators looking for a supportive approach to generating new product ideas within the healthcare arena, the friendly and diverse skills available at New Cross are unique. The programme brings together both the public and private sector's strengths and weaknesses to proactively facilitate and foster relationships through the transfer of knowledge, skills and needs.
