Walking and cycling provision for i54

As part of the development of the i54 site, new footpaths and cycleway routes will be provided.

New routes will be introduced from;

The canal towpath is to be upgraded and linked into Wobaston Road and the development site. This will provide a link into Ball Lane, which in turn links into Stafford Road north of Junction 2 of the M54.

The improvement scheme at Junction 2 will include a footpath and cycleway link on the south side of the M54 J2 westbound slip road, connecting Stafford Road to the site.

All of the off site highway junction improvements will include improved crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, which will improve links from surrounding communities including Coven, Coven Heath and Featherstone.
