Junction improvements for i54

A range of junction improvements will be introduced as part of the development of the i54 site.

Improvements to The Droveway, Pendeford Hall Lane and Patshull Avenue their junctions with Wobaston Road are proposed. Access from Junction 2 of the M54 will be constructed along with additional improvements to Stafford Road junctions.

Phases

It has been agreed with the relevant highway authorities that the following junctions need to be improved to increase their capacity to cope with the extra traffic generated by the i54 site and other traffic growth.

Phase One

Before the start of Phase 1 of the site being occupied, the following improvements are proposed:

Major Scheme Business Case

A Major Scheme Business Case has been developed which gives details of additional improvements to Wobaston Road and junctions.

Additional provisions

We will be applying for funding to undertake further improvements to Wobaston Road including the provision of additional lanes for buses and better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.

These improvements will include converting the roundabout at The Droveway into a traffic light controlled junction.
