About i54 Wobaston Road

i54 is a 96 hectare major employment site at Wobaston Road, Pendeford on the boundary of South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.

Earmarked for a technology-based business park, complete with its own motorway access junction, it will create around 6,000 jobs once completed.

We are working with Advantage West Midlands and South Staffordshire Council as the principal planning authority on the site, which is continuing to take shape.

Site preparation works have been completed including the removal of contaminated soil, the creation of earthworks to form development platforms, the construction of a site spine road and the provision of drainage and landscaping.

The next stage is to undertake improvements to junctions around the site to improve access.

The masterplan for the site sets out a vision for a £2.5 million sq ft development which will provide first-class facilities for businesses and help create more than 6,000 jobs by 2020.

i54 will become a site of regional, national and international importance and will provide world class employment opportunities for people within Wolverhampton and the Black Country at the gateway to the Wolverhampton Telford Technology Corridor.
