Citygate Plaza

Planning permission for a 12-acre £70 million scheme in Fordhouses called Citygate Plaza was given during late 2008.

Close to junction 2 of the M54, the project will bring an anticipated 500 long-term jobs to the area and will create an impressive addition to the city's northern gateway.

Local property developer and regeneration specialist, Pritchard Group, is the company behind the scheme. Work is likely to start later in 2009 on an iconic £45 million hotel and cutting edge employment, enterprise and innovation centre.

The centre of the development, known as 'The Hub' will be 250,000 sq ft of office space in two separate buildings. Next-door will be a new Travelodge hotel and restaurant, while behind the office blocks will be a warehouse for industrial firms to rent.
