City Industrial Areas Group

The Council commissioned several studies to examine Wolverhampton's industrial areas with a view to making reccommending priorities which would aid businesses to grow and develop.

The studies identified six significant locations where the targetting of resources could achieve maximum impact. As a result of the studies, the Council has established the City Industrial Areas Group.

The Group comprises representatives from the Council, Chamber of Commerce, Police, Federation of Small Businesses, and from private sector companies. The Group will focus on delivery of change within the priority areas.

Local companies in two areas have formed associations to raise the local business profile and to bring about change by working in partnership. Each area has a dedicated co-ordinator.
