What to do when someone dies

You need to let the Local Taxes Division know whenever a Business Rates payer dies.

The Bereavement Centre can help with registering the death, arranging the funeral, and many of the practical things that need to be done. They can tell the Business Rates office and many other organisations for you. Please click on this link for some of the main things to send back and people to tell.

If you want to contact Local Taxes direct, please see our contact details which include opening hours, or use the online form.
