What is Fairtrade?

The Fairtrade Mark appears on products as an independent consumer label which is helping to strengthen the position of the producers in the global market.   Fairtrade guarantees:

  • Farmers a fair and stable price for their products
  • Extra income for farmers and estate workers to improve their lives
  • Greater respect for the environment
  • Small farmers a stronger position in world markets
  • A closer link between consumers and producers
