What is Fairtrade?
The Fairtrade Mark appears on products as an independent consumer label which is helping to strengthen the position of the producers in the global market. Fairtrade guarantees:
- Farmers a fair and stable price for their products
- Extra income for farmers and estate workers to improve their lives
- Greater respect for the environment
- Small farmers a stronger position in world markets
- A closer link between consumers and producers
