Pupils and public expected at college Skills Show

More than 900 pupils from around 20 local schools will be among visitors to City of Wolverhampton College's Skills Show at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Wednesday 18 March, 2015.

They will meet local employers, find out about apprenticeships and job opportunities in the city, and get information on college courses to give them the qualifications they need for their future career.

Visitors will also be able to have a go at a range of work related activities to give them a taste of the skills they would develop in different industries including timed wheel change and carpentry challenges, bricklaying, spray painting, computer games testing, music sequencing, 3D modelling, business games, neck massages, nail art and cupcake decoration.

Wolverhampton City Council, Wolverhampton Homes, the Express & Star, Black Country Partnership for Care, Bullock Construction Ltd, Jobchange, JLR, Redrow, Screwfix, Waitrose, Wates Construction Ltd and Zaks Hairdressing, along with representatives from the Army, RAF, West Midlands Fire Service and West Midlands Police will all be in attendance.

The show will run from 10am to 7pm and is open to people of all ages - places are still available and can be booked online at The Skills Show - City of Wolverhampton College.
