Equipment Service for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

Wolverhampton Clinical Commissioning Group (WCCG) are responsible for assessing children and young people with complex health care needs who may be eligible for NHS Children's Continuing Care. As part of this work we also consider whether a child or young person needs specialist equipment in order that their care needs can be met.

Our aim is to support the child and young person and the family in meeting the health needs that they may have. We work closely with all of the other services in the city such as those available from The Gem Centre, Social Care, Education, Acorns and New Cross Hospital to ensure that everyone is working together to meet the child or young person's needs.

The service is based at Wolverhampton Science Park which is accessible to all. However, most of the meetings will take place in the child or young person's home or school.

Our service is monitored internally within the organisation to ensure the quality of the service that we deliver. We are also monitored by NHS England.
