More than 45 bands will perform on 7 stages spread in and around Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Big crowds are expected for the festival, which runs in 3 cities, including Wolverhampton, across 3 days.

Featuring the best pop punk, ska and Emo music across the country the city will be packed with gig goers enjoying local and international bands.

Dubbed one of the 'craziest' festivals, gig goers will be treated to a huge rosta of bands across the 7 stages in the Civic Hall, the Wulfrun, and the surrounding outdoor areas on Monday 26 May.

More than 45 artists are booked to perform including headliners All American Rejects, much loved Indiana 4 piece The Ataris, London ska punkers The Skints and Cambridgeshire pop rockers The First, whose brilliant second album 'Take Courage' is out now.

The acoustic stage will also be graced by Chas Palmer Williams from Lightyear, with more acoustic stage/performances to be announced.

Slam Dunk Festival is also proud to have special guest DJ and main stage compere - Sean Smith from The Blackout.

Mark Blackstock, Wolverhampton Civic Halls manager, said: "We are anticipating a big turn out for this unique 1 day festival which has been described as one of the craziest in the festival season. We know people are travelling from all over the country to come and see bands where this may be their only UK date, so the city should be very busy for a bank holiday.

"There will be some road closures in place in and around the Civic Hall to accommodate the extra stages and our festival goers however we do intend to minimize any disruption to motorists."

Red Lion Street (and consequently Corporation Street, Mitre Fold, Paternoster Row and North Street) will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from 6am on Monday 26 May till 6am on Tuesday 27 May. This is to create a secure event area and keep the general public safe during the build up and break down of the outdoor stages.

Tickets are priced at £35 and £39 and are available at Midland Box Office: 0870 320 7000 or online at Type=links;Linkid=1949;Title=Wolves Civic;Target=_self;
