The creative talents of 7 budding Wolverhampton businesses will go on display in the city next week.

Work by learners from Wolverhampton's Adult Education Service's Steps to Self Employment course will feature in an exhibition at the Foyer Building at St George's Parade.

It includes a wide range of arts and crafts, ranging from 1950s style vintage themed pieces to crochet, metalwork and sculpture.

The exhibition will be launched at an event on Tuesday 13 May at 6pm and guests will have the opportunity to buy artwork and products from the students.

The Steps to Self Employment course, which was previously called Creative Connections, is a 15 week programme that supports artists and creative businesses that are in the first stages of developing their ventures.

Moya Lloyd, Course Leader, said: "We are delighted to be able to showcase the work of our gifted learners through this exhibition.

"It is also great to be able to support them in their new careers, whether they are setting up small businesses or working as freelance artists.

"Everyone is welcome to come along to the launch event and, of course, pick up a creative bargain or two while they are here."

The exhibition runs until Friday 6 June and will be open Monday to Thursday at 9am to 7.30pm and Fridays from 9am to 4pm
