The Exclusive Right of Burial for a grave can be purchased either before an imminent funeral or in reservation for future use. In both cases, the Exclusive Right of Burial is granted for 75 years.
Purchasing a grave before an imminent funeral
This will be dealt with by the person arranging the funeral - which in most cases will be the funeral director.

Burials take place at all our cemeteries between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Memorials
The purchase and erection of a memorial in the form of a headstone or flatstone should be arranged by a memorial mason who must be authorised to work in our cemeteries.
