Lunchtime Play Leader Trinity Church of England Primary School

£15,807 (pro rata). Term time only. Job ref LEC58094002. Closing date Monday 27 November, 2017 at 12pm.

Due to the expansion of our school from a 2 to 3 form entry school, we are seeking to find the right Lunchtime Play Leader to complement our excellent staff.

We currently have 630 pupils on roll, and this will expand to 720 over the next 4 years, becoming part of St Chad's Academy Trust in the very near future.

Trinity is an excellent place to work, and one where 'the Head and other senior leaders are passionate about securing the best possible outcomes for pupils by helping Teachers to become successful practitioners' (OFTED - GOOD - JULY 2016)

We are seeking a Lunchtime Play Leader who is:

  • passionate about supporting and fostering positive relationships between pupils, by providing active play experiences and opportunities
  • capable of actively supporting pupils by teaching them how to play co-operatively, introducing them to a range of lunchtime games and activities
  • keen to develop excellent relationships with children across the primary age range, ensuring strong pastoral care
  • able to engender excitement and an enthusiasm for living a healthy lifestyle, through promoting healthy eating and active play
  • committed to keeping all pupils in our school safe at lunchtime, in line with our clear health and safety and safeguarding policies and procedures

We can offer:

  • a well lead school 'that filters through to the Teachers and Assistants. It has a great support system for the children and parents.' This is a view shared by parents at our most recent OFSTED July 2016
  • newly built facilities that lead to a wonderful, modern learning environment with excellent facilities
  • opportunities to develop as an effective member of staff, where some of our previous Lunchtime Play Leaders now work as Learning Support Assistants across our school
  • an inclusive school where pupils from different heritages play well together and treat each other with respect

At Trinity CofE Primary School the health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils.

We would strongly encourage you to come and take a tour of our school, to meet our wonderful children.

The interview will consist of delivery of a play activity to a group of children, followed by an interview with representatives from the governing board.

  • closing date: Monday 27 November, 2017 at 12pm
  • interviews: Wednesday 6 December, 2017
