Have your say on Shaping Futures, Changing Lives strategy

People are being encouraged to have their say on the City of Wolverhampton Council's new Health and Social Care Commissioning Strategy.

The strategy, "Shaping Futures, Changing Lives", sets out how the council will invest in care and support services over the next 3 years and will help shape the local care market so that if focuses on prevention and resilience.

Councillor Sandra Samuels OBE, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: "Demand for care and support will rise over the coming years, and we need to ensure that our services are well placed to cope with this.

"Shaping Futures, Changing Lives is about ensuring the services we commission improve the quality of life of people in Wolverhampton and enable them to live as independently as possible for as long as they can.

"We want to hear what people think of this strategy so that we can make it as robust as possible, and is able to further improve the quality of life for people living in the City of Wolverhampton."

Consultation is currently underway with service users, carers and family members, members of the public, providers, partner organisations and staff all encouraged to have their say.
